Psychotherapist specializing in gender, sexuality, and sex therapy

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) with a private practice in Frederick, Maryland. I provide psychotherapy to older children and adolescents, couples, and individual adults.

A focus of my practice is working with clients of diverse sexual, gender, and relationship identities, including (but not limited to) people who identify as: transgender or otherwise gender-diverse, intersex, lesbian, gay, pansexual, bisexual, queer, asexual, and polyamorous. I especially enjoy working with gender-diverse young people and their families, helping to improve communication and support healthy gender exploration and transition. I’m a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) and practice under its standards of care.

I also provide sex therapy. I enjoy supporting individuals and couples to feel more sexually confident and connected with themselves and their partners. I work from a kink- and sex-positive perspective, and I welcome and affirm people with nontraditional relationship structures. I’m a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

My approach to working with clients incorporates relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and narrative therapies. My treatment perspective is informed by my commitment to social justice and liberation from all forms of oppression.
